Dallas Diabetes Research Center

Dallas Diabetes Research Center was started in 1990.

Our care philosophy at the Dallas Diabetes Research Center conducting clinical research studies is to provide high quality, up-to-date care delivered in a compassionate, patient-focused manner having the safety of the participants as our utmost priority. We emphasize patient education, communication, and the most advanced proven treatments for diabetes. Providing this care through the conduct of clinical trials makes excellent care available to all, regardless of insurance status and ability to pay since participation in clinical trials is cost-free and participants can receive a modest allowance for travel.

Our team is led by Dr. Julio Rosenstock, a nationally and internationally recognized key opinion leader in the development of new diabetes care and therapy who has conducted hundreds of clinical trials and has more than 450 publications including manuscripts, abstracts and book chapters. Dr. Rosenstock is assisted by 3 sub-Investigators, 7 certified clinical research coordinators – 3 of which are also licensed and registered dietitians, and a supporting staff of 2 recruiters, 2 medical assistants and administrative staff to support all of our clinical trial efforts. Our staff has an average of over 12 years of experience working in clinical research, and most have been with our office over 10 years and some up to 20 years. This stability in our center staff creates unity and outstanding continuity of care for our patients.

Participate in a Study

At any given time, Dallas Diabetes Research Center hosts approximately 20+ recruiting studies in addition to the 30+ ongoing studies. Since our site conducts a large number of trials, we are able to provide our patients with a large variety of potential studies.

Patients can be on a variety of different treatments or newly diagnosed and still qualify for a study. The eligibility criteria for every study varies.

As a participant in clinical trials, you will be carefully and thoroughly informed of the risks and benefits of your participation and participation is strictly voluntary.

There is no cost to any patient for participating in a clinical trial.
